Peace, Love, and Thanksgiving
** Wow! It’s been 3 years since I first started this little blog. I began writing as a creative outlet to work on my positive thinking and to give myself a place to create something special to me. I don’t advertise, yet somehow, I now have 98 followers, and I want to thank you all for reading my blog and for liking it well enough to follow me as I continue this journey of self-discovery. I appreciate you! **
Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching, and once again many of us find ourselves focusing on what we are thankful for. It can sometimes be difficult to find positive feelings when it seems the entire world is nothing but a big load of chaos, but now is the time when it is most important to look for those blessings, because they are there. It is the time to share our joy and love with those around us, and to let our hearts lead us to express ourselves in positive ways.
“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”
William Arthur Ward
Let’s take the opportunity every day, not just during the thanksgiving season, to let our loved ones know we love them and are thankful for them. Don’t take it for granted that they know. Furthermore, let’s make clear, peaceful, and loving communication an integral part of our daily lives. If we let hurt feelings and miscommunication fester, then it can cause irreparable damage to our relationships.
“Appreciation can change a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”
Margaret Cousins
Let’s express our gratitude for all the good that we are blessed with and look for the good in those difficult and challenging circumstances that arise. We owe it to ourselves to bring our best self forward and live in the way that is right for us, so that peace, love, and thanksgiving is a daily way of life.
“I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.”
Henry David Thoreau
