Winds of Change

Sometimes we know that we want something to change, but we’re not sure exactly what that something is. It could be a habit or thought pattern that is hindering us from being the person we want to be. It could be that we need to release something to make room for something new. Yet, worry and stress can affect whether we allow ourselves to move forward.

“Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”

Mandy Hale

When we are considering change, it is important to take time to contemplate what this will mean, not only right now, but also in the long term. Although change is inevitable, we want to try to proceed in the best way we can. A good way to do this is by spending some quiet time soul-searching with questions like: What do I want? What is holding me back?

Our ability to lead a balanced and fulfilling life depends on how well we know ourselves. When we really listen to our hearts and be open to the intuition that comes to us, we can welcome the adjustments that are necessary to engage in a new way of living that is more in line with what we want.

By acknowledging how we feel, and discovering what we need and want, we can allow ourselves to relax and trust that ultimately the changes we seek will bring us to where we want to be on our life’s journey.

“When the winds of change blow, some people build walls and others build windmills.”
