Reclaim Your Energy
There are times when our scattered thoughts make it difficult to concentrate on any one thing. At other times, we may be so obsessively stuck on one thought that it distracts us from everything else. When our energy fragments in this way, it can lead to mental exhaustion and can eventually manifest as physical exhaustion, illness, aches, and pains.
Whenever we notice we are in one of these extremes, it is time to call back our energy. We do this by centering our thoughts and feelings and tapping into the peacefulness and wholeness that resides within us. We may not feel like there is peacefulness and wholeness within us; we may feel like we are somehow broken, yet we all have the capacity to alter this limiting belief.
“Your personal vibration or energy state is a blend of the contracted or expanded frequencies of your body, emotions, and thoughts at any given moment. The more you allow your soul to shine through you, the higher your personal vibration will be.”
Penney Peirce
We may feel we don’t have the time or patience to sit in stillness, meditate, or ‘just be’. So, we come up with excuses as to why it won’t work, and therefore, don’t try. Or if we do try, if something doesn’t shift immediately, then we feel that our initial resistance and excuses are valid.
“Positive thoughts are not enough. There have to be positive feelings and positive actions.”
Kamari aka Lyrikal
Self-care is a priority. If we just spend a few minutes consciously placing our attention on calling our energy back to us from the situations, people, and thoughts that have literally drained our energy, then we will begin to heal and feel the sense of wellbeing, peacefulness, and wholeness that is rightfully ours. We can tap into the space in our hearts that holds compassion, love, and gratitude and gently embrace these qualities for ourselves and then send those waves of love and compassion out to those situations, people, and thoughts that had previously negatively affected us.
“‘I am That I Am’ sums up the whole truth; the method is summarized in ‘Be Still.’”
Ramana Maharshi
By grounding ourselves and choosing where to focus our energy, we will consistently remain strong and balanced. Sitting in stillness and silence and allowing ourselves to rest in the present moment, is a powerful way to settle down, be more mindful, and gain clarity.
“Energy is contagious, positive and negative alike. I will forever be mindful of what and who I am allowing into my space.”
